Art is the process or product of deliberately arranging elements in a way to affect the senses or emotions. It encompasses a diverse range of human activities, creations, and modes of expression, including music, literature, film, photography, sculpture, and paintings. Color is a form of Self Expression. Every color represents an emotion. The nature of art has been described as "one of the most elusive of the traditional problems of human culture".
Well.. Why don't we ask ourselves? What is Art? You would find yourself finding peace in some or the other form of the art. That is an Universal truth.
So lets all come together and divulge ourselves in this exquisite culture. And speaking of Art.. i don't mean only painting and stuff.. it also includes dance, music and other forms of art.

Which form of dance is better??
Classical or western??
Which is more gracious ?? And which is more beautiful??
well .... both forms of dance are gracious n hv their own variety ...they r sumthing not to b compared/... umm,.. bt .. still ...i wud go wid clasical! clasical is sumthng cannot b done by everyone and da beauty n grace of a classical dance is sumthn cannot b seen in other forms ... its sumthn which touches ur heart wid eavry move! :) =)
I kind of agree with you... But well... I feel that there are many more complications in the western type.. I mean the Flexibility of the person in the western dance should be more!!!
Young people want to live NOW, feel themselves very present in their blood and their movements; they do not feel there is enough time to analyze the meaning and the rhythms of the past.
Classical dance in the past was available only to the upper classes, but today there is a growing middle class which want to participate, and has the means to do so with simplified art forms.
Both classical and western are lovely.. I agree with Srishti, they are something which should and cannot be compared ! Both of them show their cultures ! Comparing them would be like comparing our pappu and avakayi with pizza ! we love both of them ! Both are as graceful and as beautiful as possible ! And lastly i dont agree with nikhila because both the dance forms demand the same flexibilty !
hmmmm......well according to me....dance its self is the best art....n nothin else can beat it....be it western or classical.....but if u ask me to choose one of them....n that to gracious n beautiful it HAS to be classical......♥♥♥ it just rocks!!!!! n yea....it also reflects da most intrestin things about india!!!! INCREDIBLE INDIA!!
